At Serlby Park, we know that beyond the classroom learning experiences are essential to a students’ education. From the moment our students walk onto our academy’s site, students are exposed to various opportunities that broaden their understanding of the wider world.

To enable each student to engage in a wider society, it is crucial that we as an academy provide various opportunities for our students to thrive.

Our enrichment programme offers a wide variety of activities for students to get involved in. Attendance at these activities is celebrated through our rewards system and students can earn Colours for regularly taking part in enrichment opportunities.

We offer an extensive range of extra-curricular clubs which are open to all pupils. Subject areas run their own after school activities designed to enthuse and engage students as well to develop a broader understanding of the knowledge taught. Our performing arts club is extremely popular and the Christmas Performance is a highlight of the year. We have a wide range of sports clubs which are extremely well attended, especially the football teams (boys and girls) and basketball club.

Year 11 are given an additional learning opportunity every day from 2:30pm-3:15pm. We expect all students to attend and will reward those who do.

All year 11 students were invited on this trip as a team building exercise and a reward for their hard work and commitment to their GCSE studies. It was a great day, and the students demonstrated the same resilience and determination out of school that they do in school.
